This is the second card I’m entering for the MFT Sketch challenge

I used the same colour palette as well as the same MFT full of heart stencil from my previous post. However this time I used Altenew inks over the stencil starting from Morning Frost, Frayed Leaf, Parrot, Dusk and then Sapphire.

These inks blend really well. I die cut a frame from vellum using the Creative Dies Plus Wonky Stitches rectangled die set from CraftStash. I then die cut the Altenew rose dies which were included in this month’s issue of Simply Cards and Paper from coordinating cardstock to the inks I used.

I adhered the rose and leaves with a tape runner and this hid the adhesive behind the vellum. I then die cut the Simon Says Stamp – Scripty Big Hugs from Xcut adhesive silver metal sheets. This helped to stick down the vellum frame. I went over the die cut rose with my Spectrum Clear Sparkle fine – this gives a lovely shimmer but unfortunately due to the light conditions it was hard to capture!

I adhered my card panel to a navy card base that I prepped from some Papermill Direct cardstock – I love the card from here and was excited to see they have now started doing 290gsm which will make even sturdier card bases.
Thanks for reading – Happy Crafting 🙂
